Module 4 — Product Hunting: Where Winners Are Found

Module 4 of the USA Dropshipping Master System. Hunting is a daily habit, not a weekend event: 45 minutes a day, every candidate logged. You are looking for SIGNALS OF MONEY, in this priority order.

The four source tiers

Tier Sources The signal you are reading
1. Follow the money Meta Ad Library, TikTok Creative Center Top Ads, spy tools (PiPiAds / Minea / AdSpy) An advertiser running the same product ad 30+ days is PROFITABLE. Multiple advertisers = validated demand
2. Follow the sales Amazon Movers & Shakers (hourly), AliExpress 30-day orders, sales trackers, Temu/SHEIN/Etsy/Walmart trending What is actually selling right now — review velocity in the last 30 days, not lifetime totals
3. Follow the culture TikTok search (#tiktokmademebuyit, #amazonfinds), Pinterest Trends, Reddit niche subs, Kickstarter Earliest, noisiest signal. TikTok window: videos at 1M–50M views = rising; 100M+ = you are late
4. Competitor mapping One good store found = pull its full catalog (/collections/all), check what it scales NOW in Ad Library A good competitor store is a free R&D department

The marketplace playbook — what to actually look at

Platform Look at The trap to avoid
Amazon Best Sellers + Movers & Shakers; review VELOCITY (last 30 days); 1-star complaint themes; Q&A; photo reviews; price bands Lifetime review counts — history is not demand
Etsy Gift/personalization trends; seasonal demand; ideas convertible to scalable non-handmade versions Products whose value IS the handmade part
Walmart / Target Mainstream validation: category present = demand real If your identical item is cheaper at Walmart, your angle must be genuinely different — or walk
TikTok View velocity (recent), comment buy-signals, Creative Center Top Products Funny-viral ≠ buying intent
Reddit PAIN LANGUAGE, not product names: “my dog overheats in summer”, “apartment closet too dark” Complaint threads about a product = risk signal too
Pinterest Visual trend direction 60+ days early (home, beauty, seasonal) Aspirational saves without purchase behavior

The daily 45-minute routine

  • 15 min — spy tool or Meta Ad Library sweep of your niches
  • 15 min — TikTok: Creative Center Top Products + organic hashtag search, filtered to this week
  • 15 min — Amazon Movers & Shakers + AliExpress order-count sort
  • Every candidate goes into the log: product, source, date, signal. Score the shortlist every Friday. Launch tests on Monday.
Two ways into the pipeline
PRODUCT-FIRST: you spot a product, then validate it (most common). AUDIENCE-FIRST: pick an audience you understand (new mothers, truckers, gardeners), mine their complaints on Reddit and Amazon reviews, then source a product for the pain. Audience-first entries face less competition because most hunters only ever do product-first.
CASE FILE — AlignPro, Part 1: The find
Tuesday, 22 minutes into the daily routine. A posture-corrector ad surfaces — the advertiser has run it 47 days straight (profitable signal), with 9 fresh creative variants this month (actively scaling). TikTok shows three organic clips between 2M and 18M views, all under 6 weeks old — inside the window. Amazon shows four incumbents with 200+ reviews in the last 30 days. Into the log: strong money signal, strong culture signal. Tomorrow it gets the drills (Module 5).
